Great Overall Laptop

The touchscreen feature is a nice add on and this works well for development in Visual Studio. I’m also able to do a bit of gaming on this laptop. Games such as Apex Legends, Splitgate 2, and Rocket League run decently. More high end games like Halo Infinite will play a bit but the quality is low and will crash. Would be nice to have a disc drive and a backlight for the keyboard but overall I like it alot.

Great, especially for the price

The ram and graphics card handle multiple high demand programs (Photoshop, Lightroom and Portrait Pro) all open at once while processing multiple images shot in raw using a Nikon D850 (medium format). I'm very happy with this computer. No problems at all

A Hotrodded HP

At the time, I was looking for something to replace my 20 year old Windows 7 laptop that has been doing its job proficiently for all these years. However, it isn't working so well with the modern web browsers, or for my back up audio production rig. It overheats often just after an hour or so of use with the old Core 2 Duo always working overtime.
So, I wanted a new laptop that was basically going to last me another 20 years. This HP fit the bill! It's primarily going to be used as my audio production rig for when I'm doing DAW work, but it will be used for other things as necessary, too.
The machine works fast, and the processor is barely taxed doing anything. That's a good thing.
I didn't realize when buying it, but this machine has been opened and upgraded by a third party, as is stated in the description. They list the machine has having an i7-1355U processor, but the laptop I have believes it has a Core 7 150U processor, which is a newer and faster, and more efficient processor than the one listed.
It indeed has been upgraded, as the original computer was only supposed to come with 16GB of ram and a 512GB SSD drive. This computer is truly supporting 64GB of ram and a 2TB SSD drive.
I only rank it as 4 stars because should something happen within the warrantee period, it will be a hassle to deal with HP, regardless of what anyone claims. But, the machine itself is flawless and I'm very happy with its performance thus far.

Great for most non-gaming uses

Terrible Quality, Failed Within Months, and Completely Useless Support

The laptop was sold as “new,” but the quality was extremely poor from the very beginning. After checking the warranty information, I discovered that the warranty had already been activated months before my purchase date, which is completely unacceptable for a supposedly brand-new product.
Performance was terrible from day one. The system was extremely slow even during basic tasks, constantly freezing and lagging. After only a few months of light use, the cooling fan failed, and since then the laptop has become practically unusable. It overheats, makes strange noises, crashes frequently, and cannot be relied on for even normal daily work.
The seller has been completely unresponsive and unwilling to help in any meaningful way. Customer support from HP was equally frustrating. Every call resulted in long wait times, endless transfers, and absolutely no real solution. I wasted hours trying to get support and got nowhere.
The build quality is far below what anyone should expect from HP, and this product feels cheap, unreliable, and poorly assembled. I genuinely regret spending money on this laptop.
I strongly do NOT recommend this product or this seller under any circumstances. Save your money and buy from a different brand and a different seller. This has easily been the worst online shopping experience of my life.

THE FAN KEEPS MAKING THIS OBNOXIOUS NOISE

I strongly suspect that this laptop was refurbished and I did not want a refurbished one, I wanted a new laptop.
I am returning it for a NEW laptop cause the fan inside of it sounds broken. It's making this loud obnoxious noise constantly like it's struggling to keep the laptop cool which is odd since it starts as soon as I turn on the laptop and it's not even warm plus I keep the underside of the laptop circulated. It doesn't not sit directly on anything, I have it situated so that the fan can work and air can move in and out from the bottom of the laptop with ease.
The sound of the fan is making me crazy. It won't stop. It's very annoying. It's not a constant hum, it's more like it's keep trying to push itself into gear over and over again.
This is terrible.
First, it comes late and then I'm sold a refurbished laptop when I ordered a NEW laptop.
Now it's taking forever to get my refund. But at least the seller is giving me a free refund.
They need to inspect their refurbished laptops better before sending them out.
I probably would have kept the laptop if the fan wasn't broken.
What little u used it, it did seem like a good laptop.
But I got a brand new one from Walmart that is a lot better. $100 more but way better.
Walmart sells NEW laptops. And that's nice.
